The Smart Speaker of the Year
By Dan Gopalawala | 06/10/2018 07:50:20With Apple’s Apple TV set to be available in Australia later this month, you may be able to snag a pair of these speakers for the low, low price of $200.
However, if you’re looking to spend less than that, there’s no shortage of cheaper speakers on the market.
The first thing to note is that they’re quite affordable in Australia.
At just under $200, they’re not going to be able match the £2,500 or $3,000 that Apple sells in the UK for its flagship Apple TV.
However, they do have the advantage of being able to pair with both Apple TV and Android phones.
That’s important, because while Apple has a pretty comprehensive list of supported devices, Google and Amazon have a far more extensive range.
While you won’t be able use these speakers to play games, you can stream them from an Android phone or tablet, which means they can be used for streaming music.
However the speakers do have a slightly lower impedance, which is a bit of a bonus.
You can also use them as speakers to talk over your headphones or as speakers for other Bluetooth-enabled devices, which can be useful if you have a small office.
If you’re in Australia, you’re going to need to order these speakers from Amazon, which have already launched in the US.
For around $180 AUD (about £180), you can get a pair for just $50.
That means you’ll be paying around $2,000 AUD more than you would for a similar pair of speakers at a similar price point in the United States.
If you’re planning on buying these speakers in the future, you’ll want to be aware that they may not work with all the latest Android phones and tablets.
