A brand new Apple TV set is just around the corner, but will it replace your TV?
Apple is reportedly planning to launch a new Apple television set this fall, though no pricing or details have been released.
Apple’s latest TV product has been in development for some time now, and has been dubbed the Apple TV X. Apple’s latest television product will reportedly come in two models, one with 4K video capabilities, and one with 1080p video.
According to AppleInsider, the Apple television X will sport a “4K display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels” that is “equipped with a quad-core Apple A7 processor and up to 2TB of RAM.”
The Apple TV will also have Apple TV Remote app, which is reportedly expected to have support for Apple’s Siri, the voice assistant that is currently the only Siri app for the Apple Watch and iPhone.
Additionally, Apple is also reportedly planning on releasing a new version of Apple TV called the Apple HomePod, which will have Siri-like capabilities.
The HomePod is also rumored to come with a “microSD card slot” for storing music and videos.
Apple is also expected to release a new “TV” in 2019, though it has not announced pricing or other details.
